                       WEIRD SIDE E-ZINE
                                Issue #63

<><><><><><><><><><>
      EDITORS NOTE
<><><><><><><><><><>

Hello,

I'd like to personally welcome all you 14.400 readers of
Weird Side E-zine.

It still gives me a thrill to create this E-zine, knowing
that so many eyes are reading my words. So, from the
deepest of my heart: "Thanks for hanging around here
all that time!"

Oops... Sometimes my 'fast fingers' make a mistake. I
mistyped the URL to Pinstruck.com in the last issue. It
should read "PINstruck" instead of "PUNstruck.com".

Just wanted to make this clear, because some of my alert
readers contacted me about it :-)

_______________

I don't know if you have Microsoft Word on your PC?

If you do, may I ask why you use it for? Do you believe Word
it's for typing letters? Well, it's much more than that!

You can also create flyers, posters, reports, greeting cards,
.html email and even Web pages with it... that is, if you fully
understand how to exploit WORD to its maximum.

The people at The Newbie Club have come up with another
great E-Book, bursting with screen captures, exercises and
pictures that make the World's favorite program crystal clear
-and lots of FUN!

You can read all about this excellent E-book here:

* What's your excuse?

The Duct Tape Guy doesn't ever think up excuses for not
coming into work. First, he doesn't have an employer, and
secondly, his duct taping work is so enjoyable and rewarding
that he finds it hard to stop working. But, he realizes there
are those of you who may find these excuses useful. So,
based on a Washington Post contest which in which readers
were asked to come up with excuses to miss a day of work,
he has dedicated this page to your creative reasons for not
coming into work.

 WEIRD NEWS
-------------------------------------------------------------

Venlo, Netherlands. Dutch authorities plan to open two drive-thru
shops next year where "drug tourists" can buy marijuana and
hashish. The officials want to make it easier on Germans who flock
to the Dutch border town for drugs by opening two coffee shops
with drive-thrus selling drugs such as marijuana and hashish.
Drug tourists draw street dealers selling illicit harder drugs,
creating "an environment that generally makes ordinary people
feel unsafe," said a Venlo spokeswoman. She couldn't say
exactly what the shops will offer, but she said they would not
be like Amsterdam cafes where visitors can enjoy a cup of
coffee and a joint, but no hard drugs or liquor.

A woman who has already auctioned her ex-husband's golf shoes
on the internet without his knowledge plans to sell the rest of his
possessions over the next few days. The ad for the shoes reads
"Nike Zoomair golf shoes, size 13. Glad he's gone." The auction
ended yesterday with the shoes selling for 30. The woman wrote
on the advert: "This auction is for my ex-husbands golf shoes...
Nike Zoomair ...I threw his butt out and now I'm cleaning house!!

A Dutch woman has been humiliated on a live television wedding
show by her boyfriend refusing to go through with the ceremony.
She volunteered to ask her boyfriend to marry her during the show
called Welcome To Your Wedding. But her friend refused to go
the studio, despite producers phoning him to say the woman was
waiting for him in her wedding dress. The man told them: "She
might be, but whether you like it or not, I won't come." After the
show, the woman said she argued with her boyfriend who'd
told her not to appear on the show. She says she still loves
him and hopes he'll ask her to marry him in the future.

 USER TIP
------------------------------------------------------------

Use your desktop as a scratch pad and work area.

If you're doing a lot of uploading, file modification, or anything
that requires continual shifting of files from one place to another,
try using your desktop as a work surface. Just drag and drop files
to that location, then pass them on to the next location. This works
great if you're uploading, changing file names before moving files,
or anything else requiring a more visual process.
