                       WEIRD SIDE E-ZINE
                                Issue #80

<><><><><><><><><><>
      EDITORS NOTE
<><><><><><><><><><>

Dear subscribers,

I would like to express my deepest concern about what has
happened in America last week. I couldn't believe my eyes
when I saw the tragedies in NYC and Washington on CNN.

I was on top of the WTC a few years ago, when on holiday
in NYC, and I can imagine the true horror and fear that the
innocent people in the building must have experienced...

My wishes and thoughts are with all my American friends
and subscribers.

Now let's hope these shocking events will not mean the
beginning of a global war, taking more human lives...

By the way, today it's my 38th birthday already! Where have
all those years gone? :-)

Enjoy this issue!

 WEIRD NEWS
-------------------------------------------------------------

A German woman was so desperate to get home she bit off
part of a man's thumb when he tried to take her taxi. The 49-
year-old had to shove and push to keep her place in the queue
at the taxi rank in Arnsberg. When she thought two men were
trying to jump the queue she allegedly lost her temper -biting
one man and severing part of his thumb and scratching the
other's hands. Police reports say officers managed to intervene
before the woman caused any further injuries. Investigations
are continuing after which a report will be sent to public
prosecutors who will decide if charges are to follow against
the woman.

Police in Japan have arrested a 25-year-old bulimic woman
who may have dumped more than a ton of vomit on city streets.
Officers have been investigating 40 complaints of sick mysteriously
being ditched over the last 14 months. She was arrested after
they saw her dump three bags at a roadside. They had the
combined weight of 66 pounds. An officer in Anjo followed her
home where she admitted to disposing of the vomit and was
arrested under local waste disposal laws. Police have been
receiving reports of dump vomit since last July and had even
took the step of staking out dumping sites. The woman claims
to be bulimic and says she didn't want to throw away the bags
near her home.

A Canadian woman accused of ripping off her common-law
husband's testicles has made her first court appearance.
Donna Crichton said nothing during her minute-long appearance
in Oshawa, Ontario. Police allege she ripped open Barrington
Wynn's scrotum when he returned home drunk after his birthday
party. She's been charged with aggravated assault. Wynn earlier
admitted he was hitting Crichton's 15-year-old son when he
was attacked on August 27. After the appearance, Crichton
said nothing, and covered her head with a scarf. She was
taken to a waiting car by lawyer Irwin Aisen.

People arrested for having an orgy on a Spanish beach
continued their sex session in the back of a police van.
Police say the group of five tourists were caught while
filming themselves at Playa de Levante, Calle Mallorca.
They include a British couple, a French man and two
Swiss and are reported to be aged from 22 to 40. None
of the participants have been named. The group was
arrested for exhibitionism and were transported in a van
to the local police station. On arrival, officers opened the
doors to discover one of the Swiss having sex in the
van with the British woman. "When we opened the doors,
the woman was pleasing the man," one police officer told
the newspaper.

"Don't invest all your money in just one or two stocks.
That's the danger. I know a man who put all his money in
just two stocks, a paper-towel company and a revolving-door
outfit. He was wiped out before he could turn around."
- Dave Astor

"A woman came to ask the doctor if a woman should have
children after 35. I said 35 children is enough for any
woman."
- Gracie Allen

"If somebody falls asleep in a meeting, have everybody else
leave the room. Then collect a group of total strangers right
off the street and have them sit around the sleeping person
until s/he awakens. Then have one of them say, in a very
somber voice, 'Terry, your plan is very, very risky. However,
you've give n us no choice but to try it. I only hope for your
sake, that you know what you're getting yourself into.' Then
they should all file quietly from the room."

 USER TIP
------------------------------------------------------------

Use the system configuration utility.

Programs that load upon startup require system resources
(a special memory location).

Multiple startups suck up precious resources, and can cause
Windows to creep. To check what's happening, type 'msconfig'
into the Run dialog box from the Start Menu. (Don't type the
quotes.) Then click the Startup tab. Uncheck everything but
'Explorer' and 'Systray'. There's a list of stuff and what it does
at this web site:
