You will need to have a strong foundation in building public facing Web applications, with several projects behind you. We are looking for someone with a broad range of experience who is comfortable with managing our application server as well as software development. You will take an active role in shaping the product and provide input and ideas into developing new features. Needless to say a strong work ethic and can-do attitude are a must! You will be working on a range of projects including: *Developing APIs for others to connect to us, and enhancing our connections to others (eg Xero) *Developing new front end reporting and charting functionality *Building out our ‘professional edition’ offering for our partner organisations *Working with an interaction designer to implement a range of usability enhancements *Adding new data feeds into the software Things we are looking for: *A passion for dynamic Web languages, evolving frameworks, and other progressive technologies that could be applied to improving the Web experience. *A strong command of web standards and best practices. *A disciplined development approach with a focus on testing and clean, bug free code *A eye for aesthetics and the ability to style your own features (with design assistance as required) *A natural ability to understand complex algorithms Bonus points for: *Experience in the financial services industry and an understanding of the share market. *Start-up experience You will be working in our Wellington office as part of a small team.
