*Hello all,

Just wondering if anyone knew of any part-time Ruby gigs going at the
moment. Finding that I have a good number of hours free during nights and
weekends (up to 20 hours per week) and I’d like to find a project to fill
the gaps and challenge myself in the process.

I’m closing in on having three years of commercial RoR experience and have
worked on a variety of projects including back-office, Facebook
applications and consumer applications.

I have a wide variety of skills: frontend (JS, CoffeeScript, Backbone.js),
backend (Rails, Wordpress) and ops (Chef, AWS). I also have experience
configuring many web appliances (apache, nginx, redis, postgres, varnish,
haproxy, etc.) most of which I’ve used in a production environment.

I can (sensibly) use git, rspec and cucumber. I’m used to working in a
fairly agile environment and understand that requirements can change.

I’m Wellington-based and, as stated, looking for part-time work outside of
the standard work-day. I discount my rate for open-source projects. Email
me off-list ([email protected]) if you want to chat about any
opportunities.

Cheers,

Sebastian Edwards*
