Sorry, my question wasn't that clear. It was the non-gem docs that are on 
websites only that I was wondering about. Specifically sites like these 
(http://ace.ajax.org/#nav=about http://d3js.org/) that I 
am considering using on a project.

The gems I want to use I will download anyway just incase something happens 
to the server but it is nice to know it is there as a backup (or more 
likely because I will forget something). :)
