Hi

It will be a bit strange to see this at the new bus station in Swansea. Nice to
see a open top again on the route to mumbles, since i am too young to remember
the last time open buses were operated along this route.

I remember trying to photograph this bus in Weymouth back in september 2009
after i had gone down when FGW ran 2 class 37's on what was supssoed to be the
final summer saturday loco hauled Bristol - Weymouth service.

Hopefully i will have better luck this year trying to photograph this bus,
speaking on which does anyone have any reconmedations of the best places to get
a photo of this bus on the route between Swansea & Oystermouth?

thank you

anthony

First Cymru has recently received this Gardner-engined ECW-bodied Bristol VR
from First Hampshire & Dorset for operation of a daily (except Wednesdays)
service between Swansea City Centre and Bracelet Bay from the Whitsun weekend.
This marks a return to open-top operations after a 17 year gap.

Here it is pictured in June 2010 when still based at Weymouth, operating to
Portland Bill.
