It wouldn't be the first time in preservation, although the last time was a LONG time ago. U1766 is seen here above Maerdy when coal was still (just) being extracted in the Rhondda, on 24th June 1984. Only five days before it was in rubbed down poppy red with a lot of unpainted panels!
