I seem to recall that the 3 were painted (the sides only) at Bangor depot
by a local artist , who I think was from Bethesda.

A trawl through Flickr has indicated that it was ELL23 with the
incorrect order of place names on the mural on its offside.
To correct myself, ELL29 did not carry "Border to Coast" livery, but a
garish "Kool Katz Go 94" livery, featuring a brick wall and a cartoon
cat, instead.
