If the buses are on lease then First dont own them. When the lease is up, in 
most cases, First would have first refusal on extending the lease or buying 
them however they've got no control over what happens afterwards if they just 
return them.

Indeed First bought quite a few ex Stagecoach double deckers a few years ago 
when their leases had expired.

It is surprising indeed that these have left First Bus's fleet and have gone on 
to other operators. Cymru also returned a few Solos a few months ago after 
their lease was up, so perhaps the same may happen to them.
Any ideas on what the new buses for the service will be due next year?
