We can soon put the "photographer unknown" bit to bed, as it was me! One of the few prints of my photographs that have made it to the outside world, although I'm always surprised by how often I find them on sales stands and the like, meaning in total I did more than I realised!

The date is spot on (probably because I wrote it on the print) and it was taken on the occasion of a PSV Circle tour from Manchester which involved a new Bullock's Seddon (which was absolutely gutless) and the Wye Valley PS2 (which was very comfortable and climbed hills with ease), still in service at the time.

The figure creeping in at the left is Peter Roberts, the leading light in the Manchester Area PSV Circle for so long and still, fortunately, with us.

Regards,

David Beilby
