Ah, thought you might have. 124/125 is still operated by Veolia, however now by Solos (there's probably less than 10 vehicles now at Abercrave depot - something like three or four Solos primarily for 124/125 and spare, plus two VDL SB200 Plaxton Centros (on rotation) and an ADL Enviro 300 school bus primarily for 63/X63). The regular driver of 121 also came over to SWT from Veolia. It's tight in places even for a Solo (the 52 plates were full width M850s) but these narrower Streetlites at around 2.4m wide instead of 2.5 do help a bit, despite them being 8.8m long instead of 8.5m.
8/9/10 was the real pain though, the two 52 plate Solos were the only two buses capable of operating it (and even they would ground on 9). The differently shaped rear overhang and ferry lift make the Streetlites a bit better as well as the narrower width as well - don't know if anyone here has been on 8/9/10 but they're buggers!). -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Welsh Bus Photographs" group.
