This was one of the last dozen or so 'step entrance' Darts remaining in 
service at the time.  It was withdrawn the following month, progressively 
cannibalised and then sold for scrap about a year later.

However, after about an 18 month gap since the withdrawal of the last 
example, the 'step entrance' Dart made a return with the transfer of 
UVG-bodied 47307 (N607 EBP) from First Hants & Dorset last April.  This was 
joined in October by Pointer-bodied 46229/32 (N229/31 KAE) from First Devon 
& Cornwall.
