A recent interview with the MD of Arriva North West and Wales revealed that
he thought Aberystwyth was (quote) 'a concern' for the company.
Yet they seem unwilling or incapable of tickling up passenger numbers by
simply picking up at a stop that customers might want to use their services
from.
I've always thought of Arriva and its predecessors as the 'natural' provider
of bus services in the area and would have hoped that this would remain the
case. But sadly, as with other areas, it seems they're positioning for
withdrawal.
Nice pic Chris.

This smartly presented Dennis Dart SLF with Plaxton Pointer MPD bodywork is
found operating a 306 Aberystwyth town service and is located near the
Morrisons store in Llanbadarn Fawr. This example was new to A1A Travel,
Birkenhead and later Compass Travel of Worthing.
As some will note, this example is photographed in the same location of
ARRIVA Cymru, 842 Y542 UJC which I posted last week. I have noticed that Mid
Wales Travel have increased their services in the town of late and now not
only serve the main bus stop near the Morrisons store but serve a stop next
to the store entry via the car park, gaining an advantage over ARRIVA Cymru.
