Upon its' return from Porthcawl at 1315, a planned change took place at Bridgend, with Optare Versa 49300 coming off an X1 service from Swansea to continue the X2 to Cardiff, whilst 69241 formed the 1345 X1 service to Neath Victoria Gardens. Presumably it was en-route to Port Talbot for maintenance work to be carried out.
