Misc on #openwengo has already setup a shell for us on an amd64 box.
However, we wouldn't be against having another one, in case the other
is unavailable for any reason. I don't think a chroot is needed,
unless you'd want to protect your system from errors on our side ;-).

And yes, this is a production box so so I usually put devel stuff in a
chroot
