Follow-up Comment #4:
In 1.3.x, "If I use a bow for both elves I don't get any texts." has been
fixed. So the actual bug, "something not right with the game" seems to have
been fixed. The whole translations issue was a red herring.
You'll still get the attack attributed to an elf if you hit the quintain with
Konrad or Li'sar after the elves have been recruited. I consider this a
"Wont fix"; we've got lots better things to do than armor the tutorial
against players who ignore Delfador's direction.
