Follow-up Comment #6, bug #7998 (project wesnoth):

I finally registered. For some reason it appears that many dynamic IPs from
my dialup ISP are blacklisted - because of unprotected Windows machines, I
guess. Now I'm stuck with remotely posting using Links over 28.8k modem :)

As I said, it looks like it happens because of doublebuffering being
unsupported. I know that it's easier to code under assumption that
doublebuffering functions, and I agree that SDL guys should implement
doublebuffering in the fbcon driver, however since most of the UI is not
being redrawn constantly, making these few things not redrawn constantly
would significantly improve the user experience with singlebuffered surfaces.


I will submit a wishlist entry to the SDL people, however it might be
interesting to fix this bug in Wesnoth too. I support categorizing it with
smaller priority and severity than I originally posted it with, however I
would not dismiss it. Perhaps there is someone willing to fix it...?
