Follow-up Comment #1:
Are you expecting it to toggle not the currently active side but the only
side you own (if it is indeed just one)?
Lacking any explanation what exactly you expect that is the only thing which
may make sense afaict.
Please also mention if :droid <side> doesn't work, since that is how it's
supposed to work.
If by "in campaign" you mean singleplayer then it can't happen there since
you own all sides.
