Update of bug #10888 (project wesnoth):

Follow-up Comment #1:

This is a *terrible* bug report. It doesn't give any clue how to reproduce
the problem. What is "your era"? Was the abilitiy macro defined in your era
or is it a mainline one your era happens to use? What ability is it?

You cannot, in general, expect to feed malformed WML into Wesnoth and get a
sane result. It could freeze up, it could set fire to your cat, or it could
make demons fly out of your nostrils. In this case it's fairly clear what
happened, despite your lousy and unspecific report; you failed to close a tag
in your WML and the parser ate all of memory doggedly trying to make sense of
your malformed crap. This is *your fault* and is actually among the mildest
forms of misbehavior you could have expected.

Next time, run wmllint on your code before you load a modified version -- you
just might avoid posting a spurious bug report and looking like an utter
fool.

Sheesh...
