Follow-up Comment #4, bug #4708 (project wesnoth):
Try looking at the addon campaign "The Heist". In one of the first few
scenarios it creates a bunch of units using events and that used to trigger
the problem. Though at the time, the nesting level may have been set to 100.
Reducing the maximum level will give you a way to test things.
The problem was caused by the way random numbers were synched. I tried fixing
that a long time ago, but didn't really make too much progress. Things have
been refactored by Rusty and Eric since then and stuff has been done to make
multiplayer campaigns work, so the code is probably significantly different
now and it may be that nothing is hitting the limit any more.
