Follow-up Comment #1:
Deleting hardwired/tips.cfg causes an assertion failure, not a crash, but
I'll remove that assertion with a more friendly warning on the stderr. (Since
I want to remove hardwired/tips.cfg I'm not changing more than that.)
Deleting images/misc/logo.png causes no crash for me and stderr shows the
following errors:
20100925 11:29:36 error display: could not open image 'misc/logo.png'
20100925 11:29:36 error display: loadscreen: Failed to load the logo
20100925 11:29:37 error gui/draw: Image: 'misc/logo.png' not found and won't
be drawn.
