Follow-up Comment #6:
Current installers have an option to make the game store userdata in My
Documents\My Games\Wesnoth1.x(It's on by default, but only really works if
wesnoth is launched with start menu shortcut since it works by making the
shortcut pass '--config-dir Wesnoth1.x' to the wesnoth process). Saving and
loading seems to work fine, tested from Windows XP Guest account.
