Update of bug #16420 (project wesnoth): Status: Wont Fix => Postponed
_______________________________________________________ Follow-up Comment #2: I think this is a great idea if someone wanted to take it on. The way I think it should work is as follows: - such games are called 'persistent games' - only registered users may participate in persistent games - a persistent game is not visible in the lobby if no players are currently present in it. - when a player who has been engaging in a persistent game comes onto the server she will be shown the persistent games she is playing -- perhaps at the top of the list of games in the lobby. She may then rejoin the persistent game and continue playing it. - persistent games should be serialized to disk and kept persistent. They should be flushed from memory when inactive, to keep them from taking server resources. - persistent games that have seen no activity for some time could be erased. Of course, this feature is of substantial complexity and would only become completed if a committed developer is willing to champion it. _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <http://gna.org/bugs/?16420> _______________________________________________ Message sent via/by Gna! http://gna.org/ _______________________________________________ Wesnoth-bugs mailing list Wesnoth-bugs@gna.org https://mail.gna.org/listinfo/wesnoth-bugs
