Follow-up Comment #1, bug #18882 (project wesnoth):
I had this problem too, it comes from changes in boost. Googling turned up a
patch that was sent in to a Wesnoth maintainer who declined to apply it until
he upgraded his version of Ubuntu. Anyway, the patch worked for me and I think
it should have gone in long ago.
