Follow-up Comment #10, bug #24967 (project wesnoth):
Yep, seems to be related to long file names. At 800x600 I was able to get as
long as HdDF-La_Destruction_d'un_mage-Sauvegarde_automatique2.gz (57
characters) before I lost the files display.
LMdD-Bras_de_fer_dans_les_Marais_du_Nord_revoir_la_partie.gz at 61 characters
triggered it at 800x600 (I miscounted in the previous comment, that was 62
characters). Actual character count probably doesn't matter as we're using a
proportional font.
