Basically I agree with Nicolas, that's the way it works on Linux, where the
game is installed system-wide and each user gets the preferences and
savegames in his/her .wesnoth directory and it makes sense IMHO.
I have no problem with us moving to storing settings in that directory.
I was interested to see that Civilization 4, which I bought recently,
stores things in My Documents\My Games\CivilizationIV
