branches/1.8 is created, trunk is open for new features, stringchanges all the
other stuff you want to see in 1.9.x.

Since 1.8 is now branched off I'd like to ask everyone of you to lend a helping
hand in cleaning up the wiki and make it point to the 1.8 data as "default".
This includes now useless "devfeature" entries and making sure that things
reflect the current status of 1.8.
