I like this idea.

Your mouse setup is like the one used in Dota 2, and it works quite well.
If it's similar in other games, I agree that players would be more used to
it.

TBH, the only problem I have with the current system is the way I'll
sometimes move units to the wrong place; this would likely solve that.
