And why not including a Mersenne Twister PRNG directly instead ? It's one of the best PRNG available, it's free and the sources are here:

   http://www.math.sci.hiroshima-u.ac.jp/~m-mat/MT/emt.html

You would then avoid all the libs dependencies hassle.

Your reasoning makes no sense whatsoever. Just cross-compile your own
boost.random for now. I'm sure it'll be available in pre-built form soon enough too, especially if you report its absence to whatever people who
build boost dev packages for pandora..

Trust me, there is basically nobody creating new builds of libs for the pandora unless someone needs it for a project of their own. So yes, I would have to crosscompile the lib and right now I just don't see me having the time for it and I would likely end with having to bundle various libs inside the
pandora package.
