Well, there was a discussion back then about introducing it, with mixed feedback: http://r.wesnoth.org/t39570 As vultraz mentioned, the issue mostly is that it's inconsistent, and we need to decide on a color scheme before fixing the online manual and in-game help. Thanks to the configuration menu by fabi the actual choice hasn't too much impact anyhow, as long as we restore consistency. aquileia
