Seems some people have a reflex of putting space after dot, so many original
strings end in needless space, and same goes for translations. Since
needless trailing space almost never causes any visible artifacts, I
wouldn't want to swamp problem report with them. Needless leading space, on
the other hand, may cause small, glitch-like indenting, and is not nearly as
frequent as trailing space, so this I'll include into the check.

I must also say that this checking of whitespace is something I was asked to
do, but personally feel a bit uneasy about it. It's way too heuristic, and
generally depending on combination of project, language, and team. This is
unlike earlier checks, which detect hard technical problems. Now, I've
nothing against adding further such checks on request when they can be made
more worth than trouble overall, but I do suggest teams to also look into
standalone tools which they can setup to own needs (such as Translate
Toolkit, glad that Friedel mentioned it).
