-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi everybody! I just upgraded my local version of po4a to the latest version (0.38) which finally does work again when trying to generate the manual. The benefit is that some additional "html features" should now work nicely, too (eg using alternative text when images are not displayed). The negative part is that several new/changed strings are in now. Though those are all rather easy strings, either just consisting of some markup and not too much text or just some titles. Please have a look at fixing those strings.
Regarding the plans for 1.8: We are still in beta time because the multiplayer lobby is still not in the shape we want to see it in before we can release 1.8. At the moment it looks like we still need at least one more beta after 1.7.12 (released that one yesterday), afterwards at least one release candidate and then the final version of 1.8. So expect at least 3 to 4 more weeks till 1.8 is out. Yes, we are somehow still working on the release announcement. Even though some files are already created, I still think that it is not final yet. I will send a mail once the announcement is ready for translations. You will most likely at least get two weeks for translating it, too. That is after tagging 1.8 I will most likely wait a complete week till the announcement is posted so that packagers got some time to create (and test!) the binary packages.
