I can understand why this is tough to write in English. Let me try to
help. A "M�nster" can also be referenced as a cathedral or "Dom".
Such a Dom exists in Aachen. There are various 'Stifts' or
foundations which have often existed for centuries. One might also
call them cathedral chapters. One such foundation in Aachen is
called the Marienstift and therefore the term Marienm�nster.
You would need to send some specifics as to your sources etc for
him to better identify the actual place.
