Was kann man daraus schliessen? Vielen Dank fuer Eure Hilfe, Petra aus Canada :) Hello, dear listers, in an inventory of the (number of) horses of Bocholt, Bauerschaft Mussum, Tonnis Heyng has to pay 1 rt, 7 s. and 19 d. (Source: Bernhard Feldmann: Hoefe des Muensterlandes, p. 105). The farm belongs to a group of heirs in Bocholt. Is this a tax they have to pay? If yes, who or what is being taxes? Does it depend on the size of the farm? The niumber of inhabitants? The number of horses? Out of 56 farms listed in all, only three others have to pay the same amount. What can I deduct from this? - The farm had a fairly large size? - It had many inhabitants? - The tenants were well off. -The heirs in Bocholt were just plain greedy? - There were a lot of horses on the farm? (Don't you dare laugh about me, but, after all, this is an inventory of the HORSES, isn't it?) - Who decided the amount of these taxes? Thanks a lot for your help. Petra from Canada :) _______________________________________________ Westfalen-L mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://list.genealogy.net/mailman/listinfo/westfalen-l
