Father Rofino, Thank you for keeping the fire burning on the issue of the pastoralists. I feel we haven't realised the real gravity of this looming crises. Am glad you know some of the strategies they are using to make the issue even more difficult to deal with. I may not be old enough to know all the marriage traditions of the people of West Nile. But when i was growing up marriage was a communal event and not a person selfish economic venture where you mortgage the future of an entire society for fifty thousand shillings as some reports seem to imply our LCs are doing. A marriage where some one uses their doughter to bring calamity on the entire community must be condemned and such a person subjected to panel of elders who have lived long enough to sense calamity by their nose.
