West Nile Foundation

First of all, I want to thank Alaka and the team in Uganda for working
tirelessly to come up with a formal organizational structure. This addresses
the big question we posed earlier this year " who are we?

I completely agree with Vasco on the experience we have had with Nile Care
Inc. Let's leave West Nile Foundation open to everyone from the region. We
should also make efforts to contact community representatives from each
district to participate in the foundation. As Vasco has put it correctly,
the problems we face in each district are mirror images of each other.
Buiding a strong team around these problems will help us to start solving
some of the problems.

However, if people from other districts do not want to participate and they
prefer to operate within their own borders, we should not worry about
that level of parochialism. Personally, I think combining our efforts on
various issues will benefit us as a region in the long run. Unfortunately,
we cannot force people who want separatist ideas to be on our side. We can
only encourage everyone to work as a team.
