Sam,
Thank you for the insightful thinking. I think all we should strive to do as
you
correctly articulated is prevent more of us getting traped in this kind of
thing. I can tell you that many people seem to be getting lured into this. My
sister and Driwaru were arrested on 11th March 2008. In May the same year,
Habiba and Drani were arrested and around July, Bako was. To the best of my
knowledge, these people got recruited in Kampala through some agents. The real
achitects are not easy to come by. Yes those already caught up should be able
to
give us more information.

Dear all,

While I may agree with those who say we should not condone crime and especially
drug and substance abuse, I would like to divert from the blame game to a more
practical avenue of dealing with the issue at hand. I am no achitect for the
legal battle Mr. Banduga is seeking knowledge of, but a few questions that can
help us avoid a similar re-occurence: Who recruited these sisters and brothers
languishing in China prisons and from where (Kampala or from Arua)?

In answering this question, especially with information obtained from those
already under Chinese custody (Most likely from Bandugas contacts), we would be
able to help those in the pipeline and trace the activities of the drug dealers
(Not necessarily to reprimand) but to provide information for the young men and
women who are potential victims. I know that many young men and women are lured
into the trade because of the lucrative nature of the business but it is also
known world over, money made from drugs is easy money but has grave
consequences
when missions bounce. We wouldnt want more Dranis, Driwarus and Bakos in a
similar situation again.

I pass this ball back to Banduga for clarifications while the legal minds
sought
out the rest.

Sam
