Ojoatre Kaka Tom and Adiga Godi, Thank you for your concerns about the Arua International Airport. Just to offer an update, I chanced to fluke an inspection with the CAA Board and Management that was in Arua on 7th Feb 2011. I think it is no longer to lobby but to press for the speedy completion since the Arua International Airport proposal has already been granted. Already the shell for the passenger terminal house and associated offices is complete up to the roof canopy, pending fittings for the functionality of the house. The house is a little hidden, northwards behind the staff and security uniports, that may be the reason many residents and people who have gone to the current passenger terminal of the airfield have not easily noticed this development. I think that is one great step ahead. I presume, jointly we have a good opportunity to press for a speedy completion through the forth-coming gathering and other fora as you have suggested. We further have another good opportunity to press for the speedy completion through one of our own Hon Dr. Eng Gabriel Aridru, MP-Elect for Arua Municipality, who is an incumbent Board Member of CAA - the Client. God bless all our efforts as we pursue this dream come true. Aggrey Adrale Fetaa

Keep the focus!!! In the past there was a talk about making this air port an international one. Kasese gets the big upgrade instead of Arua. Is this not the right time for our organization to lobby for a better air port before work starts for the proposed up grade? The president is supposed to be invited to attend our " Meet the new MPs and Mayors" get together and what an oportunity to introduce the topic of the international air port at this time! Is it too early to start asking him for the things which he did not do for West Nile? What do you all think about this? Would love to hear us talk about this topic. Thanks. Adiga Godi. _______________________________________________ WestNileNet mailing list [email protected] http://orion.kym.net/mailman/listinfo/westnilenet WestNileNet is generously hosted by INFOCOM http://www.infocom.co.ug/ All Archives can be found at http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ The above comments and data are owned by whoever posted them (including attachments if any).
