Winners never quit so don't Winfred. Actually, we don't need a "dysfunctional" Foundation and an equally "dysfunctional" Executive to build West Nile. We can and we will find other ways to do that!!

My 2 cents worth and first time posting on West Nile Net!!

Dear all,

I do not know Winfred except in this forum, but considering her latest
submissions, her request to be de-registerred seems to me a clear sign of
frustration, disappointment, disgust . . . .

Why is this executive so quiet??????? Why?

If you have decided it is the end of the game, why don't you say it openly
so we can all call it a day? What's difficult about that? Why do you want
people to make guesses and, perhaps come up with conclusions that may be a
distance away from what's on the ground?

You might think this is a mad woman blabbering away . . . You have the
right to your opinion. The other side of the coin is I am expressing the
same disappointment, which, I bet many in this forum also have. Please, and
please, have the kindness to tell us it is over.

Much appreciated.

Maandera

True, the executive needs to be respectful to genuine concerns being raised and have the slighted courtesy to offer explanations. That is what civilization would demand.

Sam

While it is true that the executive should be respectful and try their best
to answer concerns of members, the question which rings in my mind about
this lack response is "Do the Executive feel they are answerable to the
people who are asking these questions?  Do they feel or perceive the issues
being raised are valid?? The question which we may all have to ponder about
is how did the Executive come into existence. I may be wrong, but I feel
that an elected executive would have at least responded to questions asked
by concerned members who elected them.
The Executive probably is too busy with their own agenda to answer to the
concerns of people who are asking questions on issues the Executive is not
interested in. May be they have different plans ideas about the role of WNF.
May be they are also challenging the forum members, to prove a point of
their relevance,  to show that  without them this forum can not exist.
Maandera, Winfred and others can you people please organize an adhoc group
and call for a meeting where an election is conducted to elect a new
Executive that can be effective and responsive to some of the concerns and
issues we have discussed on this forum. I think we should forget about this
redundant and unresponsive executive and try a different and new approach.
The various good ideas we have discussed on this forum should not be
discarded because of a group that does not care. I think West Nile is much
bigger than that.
Instead of feeling despair and frustration, these are issues that should
make some few serious people make a resolve that we must not be undermined
by failure of a few. Let's get a new executive and and we can start to
build a fresh organization, even if it means to register a new organization
because the documents to operate under the WNF will not be availed let it
be. We must not live under this hostage-like situation, this is a free
world and we have to free ourselves from this situation.

Over to you good people

Vasco
