Technically speaking, when a crime has occurred, the first thing that investigations would try to establish, is a motive. Why was the victim killed/disappeared/harmed? If we are still trying to identify the criminal, then we need to answer a key question; Who had a problem with the victim? In regards to a missing person, we also have to remain open to the fact that they could have disappeared either voluntarily or involuntarily. In short, this is how any professional investigation casts the net wide enough so as to ensure they bring any possible criminal to book if any. Mr. Christopher Aine had problems with the police/state, the reason why they are the main culprits in the court of public opinion today. Particularly after Mr. Museveni recently threatened retaliatory violence following the reported beating to pulp of the president's supporters by Aine. Remember how M7 angrily cautioned political opponents against poking his "leopard". Well the public feels that the beast might have reacted violently to the poke since there are claims that Mr. Aine was arrested at home by police officers the day he disappeared. I am not sure if the "Go Forward" spokesperson Mrs Nkangi (whom I remember reading her announcement about Aine's dawn arrest) has been invited to explain herself to authorities. If the state didn't arrest the private security head, as they claim, then why not ask where the Go Forward team got that information from, because then it is defamation. That makes one conclude that maybe the police force might not want to disturb that cat lest she has evidence of them raiding Mr. Aine's residence. So if the state hasn't gone after Mrs. Nkangi for defamation, then it is more plausible that police has him. The media should have cross-checked this by asking the cops for details from their investigation about his last known movements, and the last known person to see him alive the day he disappeared. If police hasn't conducted that investigation, which should probably involve questioning the entire Go Forward management team where Aine worked as Head of Security, then police might not be searching for a missing person but instead possibly covering up something. However, in keeping open-minded to all options, isn't there also another possible culprit here? In the entire Uganda, guess who quietly benefits the most politically from the crisis? Aine's disappearance is providing free political popularity and sympathy to one individual who has a history for using that tactic against previous regimes. So could there be something more sinister taking place here? In this light I might ask Ugandans to always immediately have in mind the question 'who actually benefits politically or financally or otherwise', lest a really sharp, unsuspected, criminal big fish astutely escapes justice while plugging the leopard with unremovable culpability. I previously warned about this FRONASA/NRA rebel tactic, so-called "covert operation", returning to the country's politics. The two top persons on both sides of the Christopher Aine puzzle were FRONASA planners. Today they could have started practising the tactic on each other. Rather than search for the truth, one side has possibly already committed a crime, and both are now focusing on trying to deflect murder culpability to the other. That is the theater that is taking place today. However I have to ask Uganda's opposition leader Dr. Besigye to take the necessary security precautions. The same person benefitting from Aine's disappearance, will also benefit from Besigye's disappearance (God forbid) while tainting government with murder. This is the very scenario they intentionally orchestrated against Idi Amin. And just like him, whatever innocence the government claims today on Mr. Christopher Aine's disappearance, will fall on deaf ears thanks to M7's "leopard" speech. I refuse to be delighted by Karma...because she is Indian.Just kidding!
