Dear everyone,

Thank you very much for your response to my humble post regarding the
educational and learning event Makerere University Centre for Lifelong
Learning and URLCODA will be organizing for the people in the West Nile
region at Odravucaku Border Past of June 14, 2016. Both Makerere University
and URLCODA are meant to serve those in need in Uganda and beyond and are
humbled the gesture of support of any form you have communicated.

Charles Male, thanks very much for sending the post to Kobokonet and
initiating a move to make me meet with staff of the International
Development Research Centre (IDRC) in Ottawa, Canada and African Studies
Programme at Carleton University – go ahead with all the arrangements.

Charles Draecabo, your interest, not only to contribute, but also
personally attend the event is heart warming and highly welcome. The
research partnerships I am trying to build globally needs people of your
calibre and we will be honoured to have you during this historic event,
remember you were once nominated for URLCODA Board membership and may be
the time for you to serve has now come.

Steven Masiga, thank you for your nice and encouraging words and you are
most welcome back to the republic of West Nile and you remember URLCODA and
Centre for Lifelong Learning are putting up a joint proposal to support
cultural institutions in Uganda; and who knows tomorrow we shall be hosted
by you in Masaba land.

Bosco Ezangu, for you I want to say thank for what you people are doing on
ground. Education and learning are the only two things left for some of us
to forge ahead and just go ahead, we will all be there to support your
efforts to promote literacy across the board.

Rose Sakaru, what an inspirational and educative message from you thousands
of miles away. I am proud of you because you have not forgotten us. Thanks
for the mobilization you have initiated in Vurra and I am informed we shall
be hampered by lack of transport, but I will discuss with the Prime
Minister to see how those people make it to the event.

Charles Oguzu, I am not a honourable member, but thanks for bestowing upon
us that huge and adorable title and your appreciation of the humble efforts
being made to transform the communities in Uganda in general and West Nile
in particular has been noted and we look forward to working with you soon.

Ojan Egits Tommy, Lira is in Uganda and I just have to say you are most
Well come back to West Nile, this time your sixth visit - Greetings to our
Brother RDC Oyaa

Charles Koma, thanks for your heart warming message and efforts to mobilize
and offer support to those in Adjuman who will come to attend this unique
event. My next move is that the Centre for Lifelong Learning must establish
a home at Adjuman and please do take this challenge up with immediate
effect.

Augustine Imma, I remember sharing a Decker with you over 20 years ago at
St. Joseph’s College Ombaci and finally we have touched base. I appreciate
your words of wisdom and support and I am sure the Leadership of URLCODA,
Arua District Local Government and Lugbara Cultural Institution are noting
this with keen interest and will communicate to you at an appropriate time.
You are most welcome and I hope to see you at Entebbe Airport when I arrive
on June 12, 2016 with our Guests from Scotland. I am also glad you have
taken time off to go and acquaint yourself with situations in Uganda and
the West Nile region, thanks very much. May God Help and bless you!!

Members, Augustine Imma Gudu and Rose Sakaru have taken this discussion
beyond URLCODA and I would like to copyg this mail to the West Nile
Development Foundation fraternity and other fora like Ombaci old boys
Association who are all interested in bringing about positive change into
West Nile and Uganda in general. As the National Coordinator Makerere
University Centre for Lifelong Learning, I want to encourage you to keep
the fire burning and do come to witness this historic event. The
participatory action research agenda I am trying put onto the table is for
all of us and any contribution of any kind will be highly welcome. Hope to
hear more from you later.

Yours sincerely,

*Willy Ngaka, PhD*
