While Uganda officially got its independence in 1962, President Idi Amin is the leader who brought the true end to colonialism by conquering British economic and political supremacism out of Uganda in 1972. Idi Amin did for Ugandans what Nelson Mandela failed to do for indeginous South Africans after Apartheid: Taking over their own country economically as well.
