This is a very good wake up call! Thank you Peter. We could raise awareness to ensure all concerned(every one) is involved and participates fully. However, we should not wait to act before awareness campaign is done. The two can be done concurrently.Perhaps this could be a possible challenge but it should not be taken as an excuse for sitting back and doing nothing to this noble call/cause.Do you as individuals( You and I) have adequate space for substantial tree planting? Even if not, you could plant a few. Do we still have substantial communally owned land which we could use to implement afforestation?...Thanks,Tobias

Me and you need intervention without any foreign support, not even to wait for governemnt to replant trees, we all seem less bothered, as most members in this forum 80% stay in urban areas 5% in diaspora, we only visit the villages on public holidays, with less impact to the entire community and spend3-7days with them. It's an eye opener, no aid agency has bothered to start afforestation processes in refugee settlements, moreso the locals continue cuttting and clearing the forest at terrible speed.
