Mandrake 8.1 Squid 2.4 wget 1.6 I am trying to get wget to make requests through our proxy which is on the same machine as wget.
Whenever I run wget it just fetches the URL directly without going through the cache? I have the environment set to http_proxy = http://10.106.16.2:3128/ but that seems to be being ignored I have tried adding the line in a .wgetrc but that seems to be being ignored too ( can I specify a .wgetrc on the command line?)
