Question about wget !!

Hi guys,,   Thank you for the wonderful tool "wget"  :)   However, I have an inquiry..   I was downloading several files for network analysis and I found that if I download files within different ranges, I got different speeds !! see the following:   1-     2-8     kb    ==> the speed is fine (fast) 2-     9-16   kb    ==> the speed gets slower 4 times or more 3-     17-24 kb    ==> the speed return back to the normal (!!!) 4-     25- 32 kb  ==> again, the speed gets slower 4 times..   and so on, the curve looks like something like that       ____       ____        ____       ___.. ___|       |___|        |___|        |___|         So is there any logical explanation for that  :)   Waiting for your response.   Thanks Abdullah
