We are with Telstra MobileNet as well and we had it all setup by contacting
Redrock Communications. They are very helpful and as far as I know they
are somehow related to Telstra and we didn't pay extra for their service.
These are the settings that we use :
Terminal number : 1300720014
Terminal pwd : <you will be given one by Redrock>
Pager ID : <your mobile no or you can ask Redrock to setup group numbers if
you don't want Whatsup dialing multiple numbers)
Protocol : TAP
Rgds,
Christine.

Subject: [WhatsUp Forum] Pager - Telstra MobileNET (Australia)
Hello,
I would like to configure Whats Up Gold to send SMS messages to our IT
Staff to there mobile phone as an SMS Number. Has anybody in Australia
set this up with the Telstra MobileNet Network ?
I have the modem number - 0418 707 767. When the modem connects, text
is displayed "Enter Mobile number.....) - the first line is the mobile
number and then after pressing enter, the second line displayed is where
the user types the message.
Does anybody know how to build a script this to suit this service or how
would I go about finding our what Pager protocol it users ?
Any information would be greatly appreciated,
Winston Mattson
