How do you send a workstation popup? I am assuming you mean an alert message
to a station on the network?

Subject: [WhatsUp Forum] Grouping SNMP Threshold Alarms

Thanks to Kevin van Blerk's excellent SNMP threshold tips yesterday, I've
made great inroads into monitoring a large group of servers.

I have 20 Linux servers that are monitored and alarms are set to e-mail me
and send a workstation popup when their average utilisation over the past
minute drops below a certain level.

The thing is, one or two machines dropping below the level is not a critical
problem.
However if five or more drop below the threshold then I would like to
receive a pager notification too.

Is their any way of grouping machines to alarm in this way, as I don't want
to get paged just because a few machines have dropped?

I'm using WUG v5.01.

Many thanks in advance,

Andy.
