We have several machines with multiple IP addresses and I have encountered something that may help ya in this area. I have found that on several of out NT4 Servers I could only map a drive or access a share by using the Primary IP address for the NIC (by primary IP address I mean the one that shows up on the main TCP/IP screen (not the ones in the advanced page)).
We have one machine that has a whole Class C assigned to it. I can only map a drive to it by the primary IP. So I would suggest that you try and find the primary IP for that box and monitor that IP not the rest.
