I am having a similar problem with monitoring the SNMP service on NetScreen firewalls. I have made an icon for the outside and inside interfaces of the firewall. The reason for this is so I can monitor VPN status. No matter how I configure Whatsup or the firewall, one interface or the other (public IP or VPN tunnel) times out. Any suggestions?

There is a knowledge base article on ipswitch's web site that basically says put a comment in the script field (# = comment), and WUG will simply check for the open port.
