In addition to the temperature sensors in our UPS's, both APC and Toshiba, I also use some temperature sensors attatched to a SensorArray box. This box supports some other cool goodies like a water sensor, remote on/off switches etc using it's built-in mibs.
I set temperature thresholds with What's Up Custom Services and when that threshold is exceeded then WUG's normal notification process kicks in sending mail at first and then pages, depending on how far the threshold was exceeded. Oops, now the company is called Uptime something.... http://www.uptimedevices.com/ -----Original Message----- From: Jo Harrington [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Monday, January 07, 2002 10:56 AM To: WhatsUp_Forum@list. ipswitch. com (E-mail) Subject: [WhatsUp Forum] WhatsUp and Temperature Monitor Has anyone ever used a temperature monitoring device along with WhatsUp for notification? We have had problems with the air units in our NOC and want to monitor the temperature in the room. I want to get a notification before it shuts down computers and would like to utilize WhatsUp to do this.
